Starting Issue

My car is having problems starting, it's not having any problems with cranking but instead it gives me a low idle after starting the engine. So low it feels like it will die on me, what I do is press on the gas to make it rev up and everything is fine afterwards.

It only happens on starting the car regardless if the engine is hot or cold. I just did my maintenance about 300 miles ago thinking it would help solve the problem. I didn't change my spark plugs though. I'm not sure if that's related to the problem. My MAF was changed maybe a month or two agoand air filter cleaned.

Any advice? Thanks.

Can you give some background?

When did the problem start happening? Did you make any changes (any at all, including ones that may or may not seem relevant) shortly before the problems started happening?

It could be a dirty/sticky throttle plate or related to the idle control valve. Try to clean them w/ carburetor cleaner.

I had the throttle valve open and cleaned. Everything works back to normal now and car is running great again.
