Rubbing Issues!!!

Hopefully someone can help me. I recently lowered my 99' C230 with Vogtland springs, Koni adjustable sport shocks and #1 pads front/back. I put on a staggered set of 18" AMG Aero II Monoblocks 18x9 et35 in the rear and 18x8 et31 in the front and tires with 255/35's in the rear and 225/40's in the front. I can only get my pinky finger between the tire and fender in the front (both sides). The back is fine. Obviously the front is rubbing badly! My question is... will changing the spring pads to #3's or greater in the front, correct this to avoid any rubbing at all? I understand that I will probably have to change the back as well to level out the car. Reading and viewing other lowered cars on here with the same setup, I am wondering as to why my car dropped so low compared to what others have stated. I used the right wheels and tire sizes and my car is literally almost sitting on the fenders. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thank You!

changing to #3 pads will make your car sit higher, this can eliminate rubbing, however if you want to keep your current setup then maybe:
- roll your guards, the inside lip of the guard may be catching on the tyre
- firmen up your shocks
- cut the guard liner or anythign protruding from the inside...

do you know what exactly it is rubbing on? and how often is it rubbing, like over very small bumps or just the larger ones?

It is rubbing on the inside of the fender lip as I see a mark that it caused on the side of the tire close to the top. The fender lips are so minimal and it is hitting them. It is rubbing on all bumps.... mainly the front right side and I can only turn the wheel slightly before it starts to rub. The right side is sitting a 1/4 of an inch lower, possibly due to the fact that the gas tank is on that side. I have the shocks adjusted to firm. I never even checked the inside clearance after I put the wheels on. I know that the guard was very close, but I never checked when the wheel was turned. I realize that the pads will raise the car, but will it be enough to eliminate all rubbing? I will post a few pics later. Thanks!
