E55 blinker mirrors

E55 blinker mirrors
I was just looking at some of the upgrades some have done to change the w202 mirrors to the mirrors with the built in blinkers. Are the E55 mirrors interchangable with the w202 mirrors? I noticed a seller on ebay who is selling the blinker covers who says that the blinker covers will fit

I've been thinking about this mod too. I think, those OEM side mirrors with blinkers come from 2000 & up W210. Earlier models of W210 don't have it.

202 and 210 (96-99) wing mirrors interchange. unless you're partial to the
shorter LED array from the face lifted 210s, you can source asian made mirror
shells with built in LEDs for $150. you'd still have to get them color matched/
painted. installation is about 3-6 hrs for both sides. not a speed contest so
just put some tunes on and proceed methodically. I'd say that the degree of
difficulty (10 high) is about a 3-4.

I would recommend using OM parts. At least for some of us in Europe this would be necessary to comply with road homologation.

Thank you guys.
I have also seen a few different types of the blinker units just themselves for sale.. Looks like they could be installed with a little custom mod work with a dremel/rotory tool on your current shells which would solve the matching paint issue. But you had better do it right otherwise your stuck buying more shells lol.

I thought I had them bookmarked, but I can't seem to find them. When I do come across them again , I will be sure to post the links here.. sorry I don't have them at the moment.. (really sorry because it took some time to find them the first time lol)
