Strange Boot Release Problem C180 (W202)
Hi, I have a 2000 c180 Sport Saloon, I noticed recently that if the car is started I am unable to open the boot from the inside, I can only open it when the engine is switched off, I have a feeling it may have some thing to do with the anti hijack system as my doors dont automatically lock too. I have tried activating it by pressing the top of the centrol locking button but still no luck.
My knowledge is that the anti hijack system works with the ABS, if this is the case I think thats the problem because my ABS lights on and after checking the sensors I found the one of the front sensors broken off it bracket and out of place.
Please correct me anyone if i'm wrong.

mine happened once.
i was having my car washed, when it was time to open the boot the washers were having a hard time opening it. when i came over to try to open it with the keys it was not locked and still it won't open.
i tried turning on the ignition key and it solved the problem. apparently, the air vacuum pump lost the air making it difficult to open.
i will still try to open and check what happened in my pump when i have time. will let you guys know what happened.

Strange, I tried to check with my 2000 C230K and the boot opens up with the switch while the engine running.
