instrument panel
The lights on my instrument panel went out. I cant see the mileage, the temp and something else like that. I went to the dealer ship to get scheduled maintenance and told the guy about it. He said I would have to replace the whole thing. Is that true? And it was $900, I could damn near get my rims with that money. If I do need to change the whole thing, I am looking for an instrument panel for a 1998 C280 Sport.

I think tP (here in the forum) can replace them for you at a good price and quickly too. He's done his up in red.

When you change the bulbs, just go ahead and change them all so you don't have to worry about it anymore. Scorchie is right about the charge of labor. I was charged over 200 dollars to have the bulbs changed in my car and it was just an independent shop.

When time come for me to replace mine, what color would look good in the older dash, or should I just stick to stock? Also, how hard is it to replace them?

i've lost count
anyone have a link to a guide on removing the panel and installing the bulbs?
i'm not familiar with the dash on our c280- but i've replaced the bulbs in our bmw's; that was a snap. no need to pay any labor i'd assume, on the mercedes either.
