10 gallons or around 40 litres her would cost us around $80 for regular gas and around $86 for premium in New Zealand. I guess your empty would take about 16 US gallons

so a lot of my friends have for example the clk430 or the e430 or s500 and they are trying to tell me that they get 20 miles per gallon in the city with their v8's and me with my 2.8 liter v6 get about 19 sometimes even 16 miles per gallon doing everyday driving around the city. I just don't understand how it happens. am i not driving correctly? i mean even our rim sizes are the same. i'm running 17's amg rims!

Mine will not take 16 gallons no matter how much I tinker with the gas pump. It will only take 10.5 gallons. I suspect my charcoal canister is worthless and I will be changing that out soon and see if I can get more fuel in the tank.
