Question Tire Question.

I’m looking at purchasing18x7.5’s wheels (all around) for my ’98 C230 and I’m having a problem finding a decent tire that will fit and that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. My first choice was the Dunlop SP Sport 5000, because they seem to be the best value for the money without losing performance, however, it doesn’t appear that they come in the size that I need. I’m looking for 225/45/18’s up front and 255/35/18 in the back. Are there any suggestions on a tire that will fit my needs? I’m assuming that the size I have selected is also the best for my needs, but I ‘m willing to listen to any advice that you guys may have. I suppose I should also note that I intend on adding ProKit Springs at the same time, or shortly there after.

First of all, you've got the wrong tire sizes. If you have 7.5 all around, you need the same size tire all around. 225/45/18 is too tall for your car and will cause the speedometer to read incorrectly. 255/35/18 is waaayyyy too wide for such a skinny rim. The correct size you need is 225/40/18 all the way around. I just ordered some Wanli tires. They may suck but they were DIRT CHEAP. I just wanted a Z rated tire with a good tread. Why is everyone getting 18's all the sudden?
