Why do you call it "threadwear" and not "treadwear"?

Nice wheels Doug

I think your wheels Doug are very nice... maybe even nicer than my Brabus type IV monoblock wheels. I don't know the weight of my wheels, but I do know they too are probably on the heavy side. The dimension of my wheels are 18x8.5 with 255/35-ZR18 all around! This is the widest sized wheel possible I think and probably not recommended. But with the extra rubber on the road, I know exactly how you feel when you drive. Your confidence level in handling must have went through the roof! The only difference is that you have more horsepower than my C240 (w202, 170 horse power to be exact), plus I drive a right hand steering car.

The rubbers on your car are probably better priced as well since I use expensive Dunlop Sport 9000's. I wish I could use Bridgestone S-03's as heard they are the best in the rain and about the best in the dry from tirerack's tests (which is a tire and wheel company).

But as you have experienced, a lowered car with stiffened suspension also helps... I use a H&R cup kit, which lowers the car 2.0 inches in the front and 1.7 inches in the back approximately! This suspension kit includes springs and shocks in one kit for about $600 dollars. But I ain't complaining when I take the turns when compared to my stock set up!
