I have a 1999 c280 sport. Today I changed:

1) all 12 spark plugs

2) complete oil change

3) oil filter

4) new tranny mount.


Everything I changed was dirty super used up and I think never changed.


It drives great it just makes a humming sound, kinda like a race car. I was wondering if this could be caused by all the maintenance I just preformed on the car. Im thinking its driving better now and the noise just comes with it?

Could someone give me some info on this please. I want to make sure its nothing to be worried about.

You are going to have to be way more specific with your description of the sound, location, and exact conditions under which it does and doesn't occur before anyone can really help you.

Just ran into the same issue on my c230, it is the sound deading above the flex disc. Jack the car up and run your hand above the front flex disc, I can almost guarantee that you will have no clearance. Just take a screwdriver and push the insulation back up to make room.
