!998 C230 temperature gauge question?

I have a 98 C230 and I live in FL. I just got the MB from my ex-wife last week and I noticed that the temp gauge is passed the middle line a little. Is that normal on Mercedes cars or C230's? I checked the radiator and hoses and everything looks good! Please give me some advise.

Thanks

Just changed the coolant on my car. It's just above the middle marker like yours. All is good. You must be use to Japanese cars where it stays at about one quarter of the way up.

hi guys, I Just changed the radiator, and both hoses, and put in fresh new coolant (original radiator was shot)...these past few days it's been warmer in NY, and the temp needle goes to 100 in heavy stop and go traffic.....then cools off when I get going.....auxilliary electric fans both switch on OK though....is that normal in a c-class? or could there be an issue with the fan clutch? (I'm used to BMWs, where the temp is either in the 12o'clock position or you're in trouble:-)......
