Engine Noise ??
After letting my 99C280 Sport sit for a few days, I notice that when I start it I hear a sort of thumping noise for the 1st 5/10 seconds then car quiets and runs good. Vehicle has 145k and has always since new used Mobil 1 oil. Oil has been changed every 3k to 3500 miles. No excessive hard driving, never driven in the snow. Seems like the oil does a drip down and needs the 1st few seconds to re establish the pressure. Is there a product that will keep the oil from , for lack of a better word, dripping down.
I also appear to be starting to have an AC Compressor failure as there is sometimes a high pitched wine, followed by AC not reaching full cooling. Thought of having it evacuated and recharged. In the years I have owned this car I never had it done so I doubt if my ex-wife had it done either. Thanks for all anticipated replies of comments.
