console control unit replacement??
On my 1999 C230 Kompressor, the left hand switch/knob is going out. Seems the fan blows full blast at setting 1 and doesnt blow at all on setting 5. I tracked down the part, # 202 830 1485, but when i looked up the part it is electronic. My console control unit is mechanical (as in the picture). The dealership is asking $985.00 for the unit. Does anyone know where i might pick up something less expensive?
Secondly, in order to access the dash i need to remove the stock in-dash radio. From what i have read i need to buy 2 Mercedes radio removal keys. The part, #963 589 101 500, is $21.35 per removal key at the dealership. Again, would anyone know where to pick up these keys for less the money.
