1998 c280 cranks but won't start please help
I left town about 3 years ago and my car has been sitting in my drive way all this time. It was running fine when I left, but now it won't start. It cranks over, but it doesn't seem to be getting any gas. Somebody please help. I can't afford to have anyone else look at it right now, so I have to do all the work myself.

Wow. Hope your fuel hasn't gone bad. 3 years and not one start? If your tank is almost empty take and fill with good gas, use some sort of injector cleaner, change fuel fiter(filters). Check the fuel rail pressure regulator for proper pressure. If you have proper pressure then the fuel pump is working, if not you got a clog some where. Or a bad fuel pump. Hope this helps a little.

Thank you for your help. It turned out to be the fuel pump. I was able to get both pump and filter at autopartswarehouse.com for under $70. I completely drained the fuel tank then installed the new parts before putting new fuel in the car. Runs like a champ again.

Now I have a new problem.... My high beams don't work. Fuses are good, lightbulbs are good. What else could it be? I removed the cover behind the fuses to see if its a bad relay, but have no way of knowing which relay it is. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? Or which relay (exactly) controls the high beams?
