Oil in coolant tank M104 engine

Hi,

I bought recently a 1996 C280 and I found oil drops in the coolant tank. I cleaned the coolant tank and cap and drove the car few miles and I didnt notice oil drops, just traces. Then I drove the car 25-30 miles and then I checked the coolant tank after few days and found again oil drops.

3 questions:

1. This engine has oil to coolant heat exchanger (oil cooler)?
2. Except head gasket and cracks in head and block, from where else I can get oil in coolant? (I am not sure if is engine oil or transmission fluid)
3. What should I check to be sure the head gasket or head/block crack are the culprit?

Thanks
