The passenger side rear view mirror on my C230 doesn't work. The only way I can move it is if I push it with my hand. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

You'll need to do some diagnosis work. The mirror itself might be shot, or perhaps the switch. Check the fuse first. Are you handy with a multimeter? If not, you might be buying some expert time...

Do you know how this could have happened. I don't recall ever hitting this mirror.

well, the motor may have failed, somebody might have wacked it in a parking lot, water may have corroded the plug, plug may have become somwhow disconnected......
btw did you check the fuse?
only way to know is to carefully take it out, open it up and see.....
