99 C239K ECU Placement

Hi All,

I'm going to get the UPSOLUTE Chip put into my car, but I need to find out the ECU number. Where is the ECU located in the car?

Thanks

Hi Rincewind,

I was told from a guy from Upsolute that it will increase at least 30HP. ON the Upsolute Website Database, it shows it will increase up to 40HP, but he said it safe to say it will make 30HP increase.. Not bad...

It costs $370US installed... I live in Vancouver, but I'm gonna go drive down to Seattle to get mine installed..

Oh ya, it also increases Torque by another 30-40ft/lbs.

All I need to do is find my ECU and BOSCH number if I can find the bloody thing..

what i mean exactly is how will your trans be effected by trying to handle the new hp increase. etc. along with any other possible systems prematurely wearing faster then norm cause of the chip upgrade

Well the Chip itself is undetectable by MB service so your warranty will not be affected..

All cars that leave the factory are detuned.... The chips just allows the car to run at normal settings.... like Trottle response, Higher Boost if its a kompressor, and also tunes the timing...

It will hardly wear out the tranny and engine. If you're wanting to keep the car for like 300K miles, then don't get the chip.. but if u're willing to sacrifice 10% overall life of the engine go for it.. get the chip..

All other operations of the car will remain normal...

Remember, for all normally aspirated engines the HP gain won't be as big.. Probalby only 8-10HP Max

1-888-for-mercedes (free road side assistance)

just tell them you have a flat and dont have your spare on you
and you need X size wheel + tire.

or maybe have them pick you up, drive you home, load the spare, drive back, and have them fix it
