Question for everyone

I have a C class with 75,000 miles. Its a 1999 and right now my motor mounts are out. They said its torn. I believe it is because of an accident where the other car hit the front of my car. It caused $9000 worth of damage but no frame damage. My service advisor says that its very common that cars with 75,000 and 3 years to have broken motor mounts. My C36 had 107,000 when I traded it in and the motor mounts were fine. If there was something wrong then wouldnt they have told me before since I always service my car there? My car was fine before and now the whole thing vibrates. I want to claim it with my insurance but he keeps saying that motor mounts go out from 60,000 miles. Can anyone relate to what he is saying? Has anyone replaced motor mounts on their C?

Jason

I recently replaced mine and its really easy took only an hour and the hardest part was putting the screw back in since it doesn't line up exactly. there are only two motor mounts and one tranny, the two were about 65 each and 40 for the tranny mount. this was on a 280 tho, might be diferrent on you c43. email if you want some pics 714guy@sbcglobal.net.

Good luck

Jason
