WHAT SHOULD I DO??
I'm brand new to the site and brand new to MB. I'm looking at a 2005 C240 with 79k miles. When I test drove it initially, the air wasn't working properly...wouldn't stay on. So, the dealer had it (the leak) fixed and said he'd provide the paper work on the repair and give me a 12 month warranty on the repair.
Other than that, the car seems to be in good shape. He wants $14,150.00 Not sure that's the greatest price according to KBB. Also, I don't want to purchase an extended warranty so that I can keep my payments lower.
So...Should I purchase the C240 ...or go with an Altima or something that's comparable in price, but would be a later model and fewer miles....and likely less to maintain?? Not looking to purchase an extended warranty on any vehicle I'm about to buy....
HELP! Thanks...

As for which one to go with, you are comparing apples and some other fruit/vegetable. If your current ride is a 2001 Regal, you have no where to go but up, but whether you go for a Benz or a Nissan/Honda/Toyota sedan, depends on what you want out of the car. If you are looking for maximum reliability and minimal maintenance, don't go with a Mercedes. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty and are looking for a much more refined driving experience then you may be on the right track. If you are worried about payments, keep in mind that at 79k, you may have other repair costs to deal with not too far down the road. Much will depend on the previous owners maintenance habits. If you are lucky enough to find a creampuff that was serviced religiously with all records then chances are the car will do you well. My gut feeling is that there are not that many of those creampuffs out there.
