Are you sure it's the Oxygen Sensor and not the Air Mass Meter? What do the error codes say? P170 &P173 indicate oxygen sensor but that could be a result of air mass meter giving that output.

The air mass meter controls the air that goes into the engine, if that is defective (about $250 online) the air intake will either be too much or too little resulting in the engine running too rich or too lean... hence the output on the oxygen sensor. Go to Autozone for a free engine diagnostic.

Good Luck,

Yes Sir, good advice. My dad owns a shop, got code 0170 i beleive, and it's the o2 sensor. Haven't test drivin it yet, but when I do, I'll make sure ta letcha know the exact problem.

ps while I was getting my car fixed, got an oil change and new Michellin Pilot tires :p

well the Check Engine light went on after replacing the o2 sensor, so we gonna try the MAS air sensor.

It's gotta happen once for everyone to learn. heheheheh Been there... done that... ($116 down the drain for O2 sensor) Hope the MAS solves the problem. You did reset the check engine light after changing Oxygen sensor, I hope. And then it comes on again after 20+ miles or so, right?

Good Luck,

Did you get your problem fixed after taking off the 02 sensor and putting in the MASS?

Let us know.
