2000 OEM Sport Bumper NLA?
After 4 months of "discussions" with MBUSA it's time to go to the real resource - You Guys!
I have a 2000 C230k with the Sport option. Where the heck can I get a OEM replacement bumper cover? Mercedes only shows a cover for the Non-sport model, the one with the louvers in the lower grill. I need the one that uses the black mesh insert. Yup, they are different. They don't even show the P/N on my old insert as a good P/N. I am currently driving around with 2 louvers in the middle third of the opening and black mesh on the outer portions, Mercedes can't seem to understand why I'm getting uptight. The car is still under warranty, I paid extra for the sport option...growl!

Where are you located? If you e-mail me your VIN, I should be able to pull up the part numbers (depending on the manufacture date of your car). Then I could see if the part is available either here or through Steve (MBenzNL).

Ok guys, I finally said to heck with it and dove in myself. All you need to do to change a 2000 non-sport lower grill to the sport model is grab a knife. Yup, just cut out the louvers and the sport mesh snaps in place. I still gonna wait and see how long it takes the local guys to contact me with the solution, I've only been raising he?? since May.
