well first pull out the radio and check to make sure the plu is not loose, then check the fuses to make sure the cd changer ges juice (does it load and unload the cd cartridge?) otherwise there could be some fault with the unit itself, in which case you might try and swap it with another one (from a kind fellow benz owner) to see if the loaner unit works... that should leave little room for dought....hope this helps...

Are you using the OEM changer? If so, just plug it in and you should be okay.

If you are using an Alpine (like I have in my 95 C280, you'll need an adapter that reverses a couple of wires)

I am using the OEM changer. It will eject the magazine so I dont think that the fuse is blown. Where do I plug it in? l looked by the battery but could not find conector. Thanks!

Keep digging, it's between the battery and the backseat tucked neatly away. It may be capped and taped, but it is there.... Mine is actually labled CD with a little piece of tape.
