Rain spots on black trim around windows

Hey, on the black trim around my windows there are rain spots, or what appear to be rain spots that are discoloring the black. They will not come out. I have already tried back to black chemicals and meguiars. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you been able to fix it? Thanks!

I've got the same problem you do and there's nothing you can do aside from replacing it. I've tried everything, vinager water, chrome polish, wax, glass cleaner, you name it and nothing works. Sorry, but if you clean it off with glass cleaner, from a distance, you'll notice that no one can tell they're there.

Thanks for replying. Are you talking about just regular glass cleaner like Windex, or a foam type of glass cleaner in a spay can? Thanks!

Here's the real answer. Go through the meguairs 3 step process.... Paint cleaner, polish, and wax. Took care of the spots on my C280--looks brand new.

I haven;t tried the three step on the tri, yet, but I've tried everything else and it hasn't worked. Yes I mean Spray Away regular glass cleaner.

Before I did the three step process, I tried glass cleaner and had no luck with it. After you do the three step process, if you just hit the trim with wax (the third step) each time you wash it, it will keep it looking good. I do the 3 step process about once a year.
