1998 C230 Seat Issue
Just picked up a 98 C230 from my brother. I'm the third owner. Drove it from his house in NC to my house in Cocoa Beach on about $60 worth of premium gas. It ain't terribly pretty anymore, but, with that kind of MPG, I am NOT complaining.
The car has an electric/power seat. Here's the oddity:
He let the car sit for a bit, after he and his wife bought a BMW. The battery died. Prior to this, the power seat had stopped working (he thinks in 2010, he stopped driving it in late 2011).
He jump started the car to get it from his old house to his new house, where I picked it up. He noticed, on the drive from house to house, that the power seat was working. Odd, but, cool!
Then, we replaced the battery (the other was decidedly DRT). After that, the power seat stopped working.
Pretty much everything that I can find, electronically, in the vehicle works. And, with 368XXX miles, I'm not terribly unhappy with my $400 purchase. But, the seat is in a rather awkward position, at least for my body-type and comfort.
The wiring boot, in the door hinge, is completely intact. There appears to be no loose contact points at the relay. I checked these, based on other posts that I found researching this.
Any ideas? Thank you, in advance.

You can tinker with the relay and resolder some of the joints to revive the relay but they are only $30 or so from the dealer.
