I Love My W202/C230K

Too bad MB didn't import any of these with a stick to the US.
BTW,
Does anyone else enjoy their w202 cars like I do?
>>the driver's seat switch working whenever it wants<<
Try taking the switch off and cleaning it up. This is a fairly common issue.
>>the stereo (Bose) acting up whenever it rains hard<<
The capacitors often good bad on these. You can get them repaired but I would just buy a new 3rd party stereo.
>>the roof molding coming off because the clips broke<<
Can't help you with that but it does sound fixable.
>>my cupholder breaking<<
Ebay.
>>and my trunk door falling on my head whenever I open it<<
Broomstick time or go to the junkyard or watch for people parting out their cars. The spring mounts break off on these and it is pretty common. Some people are able to get in there and find an alternate place to hook the spring without repairing the mount.
Has a few oddities, but everything I would attribute the the previous owner not caring for their vehicle in the same manner I do.
Would appreciate some ideas on stereo ideas though.
Mine has the stock radio, and all works well enough.
Getting audio from my idevices via the tape deck. Aesthetically it is fine as I ran the wire out the back of the radio, and up through the center console. Even found a way to do it via bluetooth, just want better audio quality.
Would enjoy input on Speaker upgrades too. Not big subwoofers, just drop in replacements with better audio quality.
Great vehicle, fun to drive, well built and easy to do routine maintenance with decent MPG. Everything one should look for in a daily commute vehicle.

I just put a new Kenwood deck in my 99 C230k running it thru the 8 OEM speakers plus a Sub Woofer in the trunk. Put the Alpine amp where the CD changer was in the trunk and used a stock wire from the changer as my Amp remote power. Sounds great and will stay with this setup for a while..
Relay in the trunk under 2'x3' thin plastic panel in trunk forward of spare.
You can resolder the joints on the chip board or a new one from Mercedes is $30 or so.
