custom intake

does anyone have an idea on a custom intake for a c36 i rather build my own but if you know where i can get a good please let me know

try doing a search for CAI or cold air intake in the w202 section. Some members have made their own CAI and it came out well. Power wise, I don't know if you really gain any, but the sound definately changes and one member said that driving with the A/C on felt like as if there was no A/C on --> the power was still there, not loss from the compressor. That was a C220.

Look around.

yes, as GDawgC220 pointed out, there were a certain number of us that created a custom air intake for our W202s. i was one of those people, and i developed a custom short ram intake for my c280. it most likely does not increase the performance very much but the car does sound better. however, i did notice that the throttle response is a little better. just a precaution: an intake, as harmless as it may seem, may cause problems in the long run.

IE the Mass Airflow Sensor.
