2016 SLK 300
Bought mine over 2 years ago. Did routine maintenance upon purchase. Change fluids, thorough cleaning, new brakes/tires.
Been a great car. Plan to keep for another 4 years.
Bought with 108K, now has 158K.
No signs of impending weakness.

NO....they are not all kompressors, if it says komperssor it has the supercharger, if it does not say kompressor it is non supercharged....as shown in the ad below...
(Thanks aquinob your correct they are called supercharged not turbos....)

To the OP, they are reliable as long as you keep up with maintenance. From my experience all European cars need to be maintained to a higher level than Japanese or American cars. Toyotas and Hondas especially seem to run forever without much maintenance. Not so MB. But it is not excessive and really not that much more than other brands.

So far so good with our three W202s.
I would say above average in dependability.
With the Kompressor I would be concerned if it is noisy. A new one ($2500) is out of the question, so you have to vulture watch ebay for a low mileage one (500ish).

Just went over 200k miles on our 2000 C230 kompressor. Have not had to fix a single thing with the engine (knock on wood) and only had to replace the MAF sensor (cheap and easy to DIY) and a few other sensors that were minor. The car still is a joy to drive, even compared to our newer 2006 mercedes cars (an R and an SLK). I also like the fact it is easy to maintain yourself. I have done all the regular maintenance on it the past 4 years thanks to all the folks on this forum!
