I have a 2000 c230 sport, ive had it for a few years... just hit 122,000 miles today..Im having this problem with a Bas/Esp malfunction....Whenever I start my vehicle on a cold start it gives this very nasty start up, and then eventually evens out...When im driving down the highway, my bas esp light randomly comes on and im unable to accelerate. I have to pull over and restart the car a few times..

It could be a number of things, but one of them is a bad brake light switch. This is a cheap part and easy to replace yourself. I have the exact model you have (but 200k miles) and just replace mine in 5 min. Part from the dealer was $36 or so.

Search these forums or even YouTube for instructions on how to replace yourself.

 

I also have a 2000 c230 K sport, i just make 111, 000 miles, the car hasbeen giving me some issues which varies from (1), when I’m moving, one of the tiresin the front will just hold it self and release almost immediately then it willshow this BAS light and sometime both the ABS light would come on and the speedreduce. (2), this said car has been making some funny noise as though thebearing is bad which i have changed on severally occasion yet no difference. (3),the check Engine light is constantly on, I’ve change the cam shaft sensor whichI diagnosed to be the problem, it went off for few days and came back on again,please assist me body that any ideal thank you

 

I think I can help with #1 as I had a similar problem. There is a yaw rate sensor that we had go bad that throws bad data and causes the ESP program to kick in. Essentially, the car thinks it is about to slide or roll over so it brakes one or both wheels to recover. I think th part is located in the trunk, but I had my indy repair guy replace mine so am not sure. The part was expensive ($600) so try to find a used one if you can.

I triad it and it worked but the car started vibrating when I hit 80 K/H i.e.like the front tire is wobbling, i don't know what could be the course of thisnow please if anybody have ideal let me know, Mr. Rostrom thank you so much,Big up Man!
