What do you guys think of a 1996 C220 as a DD?
I'm considering a 1996 C220 as a daily driver. Well my cousin drives an E320 and I like the interior and I got introduced to the 300D turbo diesel W123 which I fell in love in, so I'm considering a Mercedes as a Daily Driver. Now I'm considering the C220 because of the 4cyl M111 engine which seems to be a very efficient and economical gasoline engine that MB has put out. I've done some research and I am liking what I'm seeing so far. Although I haven't really found anything that would discourage me from buying a C220. So i was wondering what you guys think of the 1996 C220 W202.

is there a huge different win mileage between the C280 and the C220 of 1996, or would I be better off with the 1997-2000?

Update:

I am thinking about whether to get the C220, C230K, or the C280. I like the C220 for the efficiency, but i hear it lacks power. And for the C230K, I would like the turbo with the 4cyl engine, but I'm afraid that if the turbo breaks down, it'll become a money pit. The C280 I also like because from what I've heard has the smoothest engine, but i wanna know how much the difference is in mpg between the C220 and the C280.

Update: I heard that the wiring harnesses go bad with these ones. How much does it usually cost to replace the whole harness??

Is there a specific wiring harness that goes bad with these?

Do you have a chance to get 99-00, with tiptronic gearbox, it's a best version of W202....
