Ghost wipers

Hi, y'all. Hope you had a stuffing of good food yesterday.

Another problem cropped up this morning on the C230.
The wipers won't stop.

I turned them on for a while and then after I parked, I turned the wipers off and they kept going. I had to shut off the engine to make them stop.

The wipers change speed to the top speed at position III correctly, but when switched to the '0' position it keeps going, and the intermittent position doesn't work anymore - it just keeps going.

(I don't have rain sensing wipers!)

Any ideas?

Wiring may be loose in the stalk...try and wiggle it around when you have it in the 0 position and see if that does anything or just twist it through the positions a few times to see if that can correct it.

Thanks... I tried that, but the problem from doing a little more research is the wiper relay.

This seems to be a problem that goes back to even 1988 models, and many have cured the problem simply by removing the wiper relay, tapping it a couple times and replacing it.

My only problem is I have NO IDEA where the wiper relay is! I looked everywhere in the manual and it doesn't say!

Any ideas?
