Engine swap for c230
I was thinking about upgrading my old 97' c230 from a flat 4 to maybe m104 straight 6. would it be a pretty straight forward swap, and would everything be relatively compatible?

There are going to be a lot of bits and pieces that have to be taken over with the larger engine, If not some structural incompatibilities. It would be useful to have the whole car from which you are taking the engine to see what you need and have it at hand. You will probably fine it a lot easier and cheaper to just sell your car and buy one with the larger engine, and you will have a lot better chance of it working correctly. Due to running changes with the same size engine, you may even have troubles changing the same size engine. A lot can be hidden in an unconspicuous control box.
