no power from DC outlet
Yesterday I hooked up a power inverter to my DC outlet in the car, and for some reason, now I can't get any power out of it at all. Any ideas on how to fix? I'm hesitant to start checking the fuses, because there are tons of them, and I have no idea which one it might be. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
(I was actually powering a small video camera I attached to the side door of my car, along with a VCR. All for a video I'm trying to make with my friends m3)

In the market
If it worked before you plugged in the inverter but not after, than it is almost assuredly a fuse. I wouldn't think such a small load would pop one, but that is the first thing I would check.

look underneath the hood...in front of driver side, there is a black box.
open up the cover and look at the chart. it will tell you where the cigarette light adapter fuse is. pull it out and take a look, if it's charred (sp?) or broken in the middle. if so, replace it with a spare one there in the box (along the middle I believe are the spare ones) or go to a auto store and pick one up.
