Need suspension help

I am looking for suspension help for my gf's 99 C280 Sport.

Should we go with just springs or get springs and a set of the bilstein sport shocks as well?
We will be upgrading the wheels with some 18 AMG's after the current tires are ready to be replaced.
Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks for all help. Also her driving style is mostly freeway and around town. She doesn't really drive hard.

if youre looking for performance and handling, go for the shocks and springs (bilstein shocks and H&R springs)

if youre looking for comfort, leave it the way it is or get replacement OEM suspension parts

if youre willing to compromise some comfort and quiet but dont want to go all out on performance and handling, go for H&R springs alone.

umm if u're dropping more than about an inch, u'll need shocks cuz the stock ones will go out in a zip. best thing to do is go with shocks and springs. u can use the spring pads to adjust/fine tune the height of the car in small amounts.

Definately replace your shocks. If your going to lower I recommend bilstein sport shocks. I have the exact combination you're going for. Carlsson springs, bilstein sport shocks, and 18 inch wheels. It is still very smooth, and even better on the highway. No more floaty side to side feeling at high speeds.
