Kompressor difference

I thought I knew more about my car than I do it seems. I have 2 different pictures of 230K motors and I dont know what one is pre spring 2000 and which is post. One has some engine dressing "silver plastic" to the right or the red kompressor logo but mine does not. It looks that the plumbing might be different too. Also, The manual list the HP on my 2000 as 185hp but I hear more in the way of 192 to 196 or so. Any help would be appreciated. Im lookin into pullys but the pre spring vs post spring 2000 issue has me confused.

I've had better luck with tech questions like this when I post them to the tech forum. BTW, what do you get for gas mileage? I'm thinking of a 2000 C230K to keep my 280 company.

If you have a 2000 C230, then it's the kompressor model. They stopped producing the N/A C230's in 98 and started the kompressors in 99+. I believe you have the 2.3l kompressor engine as the new ones have the 1.8l kompressor engines.

For your 2000 model, the specs are 185hp and 200ft-lb torque.

In 02, they changed the engine a little, with high compression ratio's...so the '02 kompressor models produced 192hp and 200ft-lb torque.
