Xenons. Self-leveling?
OK, I could have sworn that my xenons self-leveled when I first turned them on during the first week or two that I've had the car.
I since had to have the left headlight unit replaced because of a short, and now the lights don't self-level anymore when first turning them on.
Was I hallucinating before, or do these things have self-leveling?
Thanks!
John

They were installed at the factory, so they were self-leveling. However, since the one side headlight unit was replaced under warranty a few weeks ago, the self-leveling not worked. So, I guess I need to have the dealer fix it.
Thanks,
John

Well, I dug into the front of my car, and all I can say is what an idiot the local dealership is. Not only did they not adjust the aiming of the replaced headlight, they also neglected to reconnect the wires to what is apparently the leveling motor. I found it tucked away, plugged it in, and voila! I now have the self-leveling function back.
I wonder if I can bill them for one hour's labor?
Thanks everyone.
