supercharger issues
I have a 2002 merc c32 sal ,covered 80k miles, had a new intercooler 6 years ago at 75k miles,the car was used weekly for the first 60 k miles but has been mothballed since then as it is in good condition .
I decided to keep it as it was my first AMG but keep it in a heated garage and only use in summer,
Whist taking it to a show 400 miles away the supercharger disengaged and only re engages if you stop and re start the engine and then only for a short distance.
When it is started from cold it squeeks until warm and wheni put the trickle charger or smart charger on the battery I noticed that there is a rubber mount or some type of damper coming adrift on the crank pulley.
It will have to go to Mercedes for repair ,do you think the two problems are related and should it be driven as its stuck in the garage.
The car has only covered 1300 miles In 3 years
