No Split Rear Seat: Can I Wire A System?

Hello all- I'm new to this forum, but have been on BenzWorld for about a year now. I'm about to buy another C220, and I want to put my system in it, but it doesnt have the split seats that fold down in the back. (like my previous one) Does anyone know if its possible to run my RCA and remote wires from the headunit back to my subs in the trunk? If I can't I may decide not to buy the car, but its in percet condition with low miles, for only 6,800 USD. Hope someone can help me out, thanks- Sholly

if you go into the trunk and take off the trunk lining, you should be able to see various wires running along the perimeter of the trunk. a big group of wires (including the cd changer pre-out) should be bunched together. if you follow this wire back, it should end up going back into the cabin through a little crevice between the walls and floor of the trunk. you can try to fit your cables through this existing crevice or try to make the hole bigger if it doesnt work out.

If you pull back either side of the back cushion along the edge, you'll see the "tunnel" that the existing wiring goes through. I should have taken pics when I did my install.

Basically, look behind the trunk lining and you'll see some wiring running into the side there. That's where it runs along the back door curve into the underside of the door sills. You have to have someone pulling the side cushion in towards the cabin so that you can expose the wiring area to get it through, one man probably won't be enough to get the wiring through cuz it's TIGHT space in there.

Good luck!
