head gasket replacement - other parts?
I am currently replacing a cylinder head gasket in my 1995 c220. I have everything apart and the head is back from getting straight and valves. I got my instructions from a book and cd I bought. they are telling me to replace bolts and use sealants that I am having a hard time finding. I don't want to go back in for something I can change now. but I also don't want to throw money away. any help with what really has to be changed. here is what my instructions and I want to do.
gaskets - cyl. head, int. man., exh. man.,
cyl. head bolts,
timing chain guides (3) and tensioner ( I think the chain is ok),
cyl. head front cover sealant (cant find),
cyl. head to timing case torx bolts w/o washers (cant find),
slide rail pins sealant (cant find),
camshaft sprocket bolts (cant find),
timing cover oil seal,
crankcase breather hoses (2), (looked brittle),
ignition coils (2), (to hard to get to later for the price),
ignition coil wiring harness (wiring cracked and brittle in several places),
viscous fan clutch (was bad),
poly - v belt ( looked wore out).
that's the plan along with a few other parts unrelated that I am going to change while im in there. any help would be appreciated. thanks, dan
