I am currently doing a head gasket replacement. 1995 c220, my first Mercedes. I bought a repair cd online for $20 - $30. I didn't think it was detailed enough. i am a do it yourselfer. so i bought the 1,000 page Bentley service manual that cost me over $100. i can honestly say this was one of the worst purchases i ever made. i have had 2 other "factory service manuals" that showed step by step complete removal and replacement of every component on the cars and thought that is what i was getting. i was wrong. over half the book is electrical wiring diagrams. i almost feel cheated. does anyone know of a better alternative to these ?

thanks for the info. but from what I see that is very pricy for a DIYer.

Some jobs are not for DIYers. If you need a manual to do a head job its not a job you should attempt.
