I have a big problem and I need help finding the part.

My 98 C230 broke and I'm trying to find the part. The upper bracket that holds the driver side coil spring rusted and broke. I should be able to find a shop that will fix it if I can find the part, but I am not having any luck. I'm sure that I will have to get a used one if I can locate it. I attached a picture of it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you

Thanks. That's great that I can get the part. Is the left one considered the driver's side?

This site does not have my car on the list at the bottom.

It looks like a metal cap goes on top of the spring. Do you have a part number for that? Mine must have few off when the spring came out. It looks like something goes on the bottom of the spring also, but I'm not sure.

Thanks

If that should be on the spring. All I have is the spring.

No bro., these are a differ spring caps, depend of M/Y spec,,

if you don't have any of these, then you can install springs directly to Braces..

Someone told me that a part flew across the street but I couldn't find anything. I'm going to check the passengers side to see if it is rusting out. Thanks

Don't think your "W202" got something at the top of springs..!,

better to replace both sides,

also,

don't forget to put rubber at the top of spring,,

you can choose the rubber height as well..

I looked at the other side and I don't see any rust. There is something on top of the spring.

It's not that common in general,

but it's more common especially in rainy/salty/humidity areas, need to be more care,,

careless with sneaky rust will kill these braces due age as well..!
