Turbo my C180 or swap engine help please
So bought a project car as a long ongoing no rush project for my son and myself.
It is a C180 manual engine.
I was considering turboing the car and having a manifold modified or made.
Or transplant and engine.
i would like to stay with a manual gearbox.
is there a plug and play engine with few headaches I can fit?
if so what would be the best engine and gearbox please?
looking for around 200Hp nothing massive.
thanks in advance Jay

There is a guy I know in Phoenix who builds manifolds for a lot of other four cylinder cars, so it can be done.

R170s used almost identical/ very similar setups for motor, tranny, S/C as the W202s and those members there are more active than the w202 section here.
You may be able to find more info in those forums as the are more active. GL.
Also sounds like swapping a C230K or C280 motor into it seems to be a reasonable option. Both stock providing close to 200hp (and adding a pulley kit into the 230K will get you over 200+hp.
Just saying....
