most people use a suction device made by "griots" (do a search). What you do is stick the tube down the dipstick tube and it sucks up the oil.
the oil filter housing is in the front, to the right of the engine block as your looking at it. it's a small cylindrical shaped object. You need a special MB tool to remove the cap...check out your local MB parts dept...cheap tool, I think around $10?
by using the suction, it's much easier than lifting the car up on jacks or whatnot.

If you drop the engine undertray you will see the drain nut towards the front on the driver's side of the pan. On the 104 motor the oil filter is on the driver's side of the motor near the firewall and the Mercedes filter tool will make your life much eaiser. The engine holds quite a bit of oil so make sure you have a drain pan that is large enough.

i just brought mine in to the dealership for an oil change. it's $50, but you get a tank of gas from their loaner, and the price of oil, filter, gas and time, and a car wash, i think it's worth it. but for you d.i.y. guys i'm sure you'd rather just d.i.y.
