lowering my C230
I just got my H&R springs today. I was gonna have a friend help me install them this weekend - is there anything special about lowering benzes that I need to know? Any special tools? My friend thinks his spring compressor might be too big?
Does anyone have a set of instructions for how to lower a 202 that they could send to me?
Thx in advance

Be careful, and ask scorchie, he knows about these things. Unless you really have a good idea of what you're doing, don't try to install them yourself, you may (as funny as it sounds) get your arm broken by a spring if you're not careful.

thanks for recommending scorchie, and believe me, I have more sense than to try and install them myself. It's not hard to understand that a spring under compression is like a really big bullet. That's why I'm getting a friend (co-worker who builds race cars) to install them for me
but the thing is, he hasn't worked on mercedes specifically, so is there anything different in particular that he needs to know about, or is it pretty much a standard spring swap?

in a way c-class springs are easier to replace cuz you don't have to take off the full strut like civic's and stuff. but then again compressing them while on the car is kinda dangerous. yea you really need to becarefull with this stuff.
but rear ones. do a search and there's alot of info on them. someone had pics too.
just put a floor jack under the rear lower control arm and unbolt. the front one, u need to compress it before taking it off. then u can also change spring pads on front and back to adjust height by a few milli m's.
