Service Manual shows P1747 means an error with the CAN Bus and Electronic Traction Control (ETC) . Usually it's caused by something like a bad connection, wheel sensor, or even a bad brake light switch. Is the BAS /ASR light on?

when I first start the car sometimes it’s not on and then turns on when I drive around a little
how can I narrow down what it is thank you.

I would replace the brake light switch. They last for a good many years but they fail often enough that MB has a little door in the covering (mine does) above the brake pedal that gives access to the switch without removing any screws, if you can manage to fit yourself under your dash to see what you're doing. Also, they're cheap enough (less than $20) that simply replacing the switch can be a real timesaver, especially if that's the problem. If it doesn't fix it at least you'll know that it's not the cause of the problem and can look elsewhere.

yes that’s great advice I’ll start there and move through the list of things it can be starting with the cheap fixes to more pricey options thank you for your time I’ll keep you updated 👍🏽
