lowered my C220 (Pics)

lowered it finally.

H&R springs, cut (i think 1 coil, bought them like this)

#3 pads in the front, #2 in the back.

stock shocks, 1 week (500 miles) and doing ok so far. although feel underdampened.....

ride so far is pretty good. notice less travel but still smooth for city driving. overall very slightly on the stiffer side, but no the case around the curves....

car feels more nimble and handles really well. although the slow steering responce is a lil annoying. but gotta get used to it i guess.

oh i found some polyurethane front lower control arm bushings (rear ones that usually wear out). i'll give them a try when i get some extra cash. hope that makes the steering more responsive.

the car rotates more now. kinda like goes into drifts instead of just understeer. but still got quite a bit of understeer, i blame my 15" tires for that.

but really worth it. stock springs suk so bad.....

I was looking into Polyurethane bushings as well, do you have a link or can you refer me to your source?

hey, the only place i found was my alignment guy. his friend made them.
the place is South West Alignment. i'll see if i can find his number, if not, check yahoo yellow pages (zip code 77063) for south west alignment. i'll try getting his number and posting it up here anyways some time soon.

I see. I already bought the control arm bushings and found a place that will make the polyurethane ones for me. I just havent had the time to get everything organized. Send me info if you get it, maybe I'll consider this option as well.

Bushing do make difference but arent they on the last end of chain. I dont see anyone mentioning tires in this equation - My experience was h-speed rated Continentals that came on the sport edition c230k were awful for responsiveness and feel. They had a strange combination of both numbness and moderate traction. Switching out to z-rated Michelin Pilot Sport A/S made a huge difference both in traction and steering responsiveness and feel.
