new plan for a few hp+
Second thing, I'm going to go to work on the exhaust pipes. I want to replace my stock exhaust up to the header with a Remus cat-back system and a high-flow cat. (while eliminating the smaller "pre-cat" under there) I know a local guy that can help me with any welding associated with this modification.
To top off this mod, I want to purchase a powerchip. (maybe a bt into the future because of $ concerns)
Here's what I was wondering- how much hp will these mods add together? I was thinking 15, maybe 20 if I sing my benz to sleep each night to get on her good side.

Exhaust, what size diameter piping are you planning on? too big is bad, loss of backpressure, too small is bad too restrictive.
intake, dont bother with the technique you mentioned... just ge the cold air intake and mount it in place of the factory airbox... then enlarge the hole that sits right by the grill. it will get you the same ram air intake effect you are talking about without the hazards of worrying about water induction. trust me... ive done the side by side and went with what i recommended to you.

club202 guys...BWAHAHAHA, that place is a joke. there are about three guys on there that actually know what they are talking about, and those three guys know from reading a magazine, not from implicating the upgrades. i've owned many high performance cars, and a custom shop... and ive done these upgrades on my own cars. i speak from experience... ive tried both methods on my c36 and my c43. its funny you mention club202... both my c43 and c36 are owned by members of that board.
im telling you for a fact that my method is as stable if not better than theirs. plus, with my method you risk no water damage.
Sholly, we're talking about a simple intake upgrade, not about blowers and turbines. trust me man, save yourself time and aggravation.

If you are going to order, shoot me a call or email and I'll be sure to hook you up.
Sincerely,
Aaron
