Aftermarket radio and bose

I've searched for all the info and came up empty handed how do I get an aftermarket radio to work in a 2000 c280 I've tried everything and I still don't get any sound from the radio. And yes it works because I still have the factory radio to test speakers.

I recall reading that the BOSE system is unique, and that the AMP is typically the problem with an aftermarket radio, try to disconnect/remove it

I just got done installing a Kenwood unit with a backup camera. I used the Technics decoder box which I found on Amazon.com for $100, it works well, sound is reliable so far and actually sounds just as good to my ears as the factory system. Although, the rear trunk open button on the driver's side door buzzes a lot with music that has any bass.
