a/c compressor wiring 1995 c220 w202

A/C won't cool, clutch wont engage and diags returns code 41.9. High and low side are within specs. I'm hoping it's not the clutch that's fried.

While I do get it that there are two wires, ground and hot, I'm trying to figure out what the purpose of the other connector is. Any help is appreciated. Pics below

Think I might have figured out what I am looking at. More or less a brain fart on my part. Will update here in a few days.

whomever replaced the compressor or compressor clutch snipped the original benz positive wire and left the original connector attched onto the compressor instead of removing it. If you are going to bypass or remove factory wiring, at least make look clean.
