Failed brake lights
I have a 1994 C280, recently purchased and my first Mercedes. I had been sitting for 6 years. I have it running after a bit of fuel system work and parts replacement. Getting it ready to legally drive when I noticed I had no brake lights. I went to the fuse box under the hood and checked all fuses. Pulled them all, cleaned them and checked them, none were bad,. I back fed the brake light circuit from the trunk and all brake lights lit. Next stop was under the dash to the brake light switch. There are two plugs (connectors) on the switch. The small plug has power on one side, the larger one has a multi-wire plug piggybacked on a two wire plug to the switch. Now power here. I am lost as the fuse is good, the switch is good(replaced with OEM today). Where does the brake light switch get it's power. Yes, I had the ignition turned on. Any and all help would be appreciated.
