Question Does anyone have a DIY posted on removing rear springs?

I had someone do it for me and the rear is about 1/2" lower than I want. I
picked up some larger pads and want to install. I'm guessing when I say I don't
think I need a compressor for the rear.....Is this accurate? I want to swap pads
this weekend. Thanks.

1. Raise rear end of car & support.
2. Place jack under the middle of the control arm.
3. Remove pivot bolt ( the one closest to the centre of the car ) of control arm.
4. Slowly lower the jack that is placed under the control arm.
4. Spring, etc. will fall out.
5. Insert new springpad on top of spring.
6. Raise control arm & re-insert pivot bolt.
7. Torque ( 55 ft/lbs ) control arm pivotbolt with the car resting on the ground. ( Ramps would come in handy for this ).
Note: You DO NOT have to undo the shock or swaybar bolts for this procedure.
Good luck ( Should take you about an hour to do both sides ).
Don't hurt yourself.

trbo let me know how it goes. I am thinking about lowering the car myself and renting a spring compressor for the fronts.

Will do. It's a must for the front. Yeah, I want to get the back just the right
way (look wise). The front is perfect! I'll post a pic when done sometime Saturday/Sunday.

Just a little footnote to my instructions above.
Before you place the jack under the controlarm, you may want to take the plastic cover off first ( just 2 screws holding it ).

Do you suggest raising one side of the car and doing one side at a time or jack both sides up and do them together? I may have a limited number of
jacks. Thx.

You could do one side at a time. Just takes a little bit longer.

Question I need help!! Can't get pivot bolt to line up....

Springs came out fairly easy and now that I'm ready to assemble, I can't get the hole for the pivot bolt to line up so I can reinstall the bolt. Is there a
secret to doing this? Much appreciated.

The trick is to leave the rear wheels on, then use the jack to align the hole.

Got it.

The first spring took forever while the second took 20 minutes.
