Hands free kit
Can someone tell me where to get the hands free phone kit for a 1999 MB C280 sport or have a part number ? I've got the speaker and mic, i guess that's standard. I guess you are supposed to hook your phone up somehow. I currently have a Motorola Startac 7868. Will that work ?

I do not know much about the phone systems in 1999 model year vehicles. My expirtese is in the 2000+ model year range. However, first and foremost, I can tell you that you NEED the specific Mercedes branded Motorola phone in order for itegration to work. The Mercedes branded Motorola's have the necessary firmware that allows the phone to integrate with the vehicle systems. The normal Motorola non Mercedes branded cell phones don't have this special firmware, therefore, will not work.

u knw on the manual it said not to operate a wireless phone that without an external antenna inside the car wen its running or it mightl malfunction the computers, is that true or just bs?
